New Chuggington Series two for the UK
Mar 08
Hello Chuggington fans ( or parents of Chuggington fans
!! ), last week I was wondering on Twitter when the new series of Chuggington was coming out, I could have sworn I read something ages ago about a new series coming on soon, spring time. A day or so ago I realised how incredibly thick I was being... About a month ago I had downloaded a special supplement to the ToyNews-Online.biz magazine that was dedicated to all things Chuggington. I try to keep an eye on all things to do with Chuggington where I can, but with this guide I had downloaded it and just bunged it into my inbox/to sort folder, I'm sure you have one of those on your computer too!
Finally I got round to reading it properly and realised what a veritable treasure trove of Chuggington related news it was! So with out further ado here is some information about the forth coming Chuggington Series 2!
First up are a selection of Chuggington Shorts or Interstitials as they are know. These will be short mini episodes featuring tasks for the Trainee Chuggers to perform each one being a Badge quest. Vee will assign a Trainee a task and when they complete this task they will be awarded a special Badge! These are of course a subject of great Pride for the Trainees and they all want to get all their badges. These mini shows will be showing in the UK and US ( and probably everywhere else in the world too
) in the Spring of 2010, so any time soon!
For the new Series two proper in the UK we will have to wait until the Summer. They are currently finishing of production for Series two of Chuggington and it seems we ( or our children are
) are in for a real good treat. In Series two we will see some new characters, first up there are two new Trainees called "Hoot & Toot" who are a brother and sister "Push Me Pull Me" engine with two very distinct personalities. I'm amusing this is a double ended engine like the one in Thomas, but I'm not 100% sure on this. Hoot and Toot sound like they are gong to be making lots of Children laugh with their antics and it sounds like they argue and bicker a lot, just like real brothers and sisters!
Also seen for the first time in Series two will be an engine known as Speedy. Speedy is a grand old steam train who likes to take everything in his stride and never likes to rush. Sarah Ball ( Director of Chuggington ) Also says that Speedy will have a celebrity voice over but they are keeping very tight lipped about who it might be... mmm Stephen Fry? Eddie Izzard? could be anyone really! Who would you like to see in Chuggington?
In the article in ToyNews-Online.biz Don Toht ( Chuggington's Executive Producer ) tell us about some of the new rolling stock that will feature in Series two of Chuggington. We will see Snowploughs and Blowers, Camera Cars and even a Tunnel Scrubber. We will also see a lot more of Chuggington City in series two, series one centered mainly around the Training yard, but series two will have a more urban feel and will feature tracks that even run through buildings!
It all sounds really good and although I have to keep telling myself that its not right for a 33 year old man to be getting excited about a new series of Chuggington, I am only getting excited because I just know my Son is going to love it and he will be very happy when some "New Chuggington" comes on Cbeebies! I Can't wait
!

Yay! Season 2! “We will also see a lot more of Chuggington City in series two, series one centered mainly around the Training yard, but series two will have a more urban feel and will feature tracks that even run through buildings!” Great!

you’ve made my day (i’m 32!!!) about the new series coming out in the summer here in the UK as my daily marathon of all my sky plussed ones for my son are starting to wear thin on the ground but he lights up as if he hasn’t seen it in weeks!
