About ChugToys
Two years ago I knew very little about kids TV but 19 months ago my life changed for ever with the birth of my first son...
If you have never had a child then you won't quite understand the change in your life this monumental event can have, if you are a parent then I'm sure you understand just how it is!
Fairly soon maybe a few months we started to look at what TV was available for babies and a whole new world was opened up to us. I know some people are a bit funny about babies/toddlers watching TV, but I don't see what all the fuss is about, for me its fine as long as he is only watching programs I approve of and that have some educational use. Luckily most of the programs on CBeebies and Five fit the bill and from an early age my son discovered the wonders of TV. Of course we don't just plonk him in-front of the telly for hours on end, no of course not, he only watches a few programs a day.
Before my Son was born I think the extent of my knowledge of Kids TV was probably just Telly Tubbies and I must admit I had thought it would all be like that, a bit weird! Of course I knew there were loads of old programs like Thomas the Tank Engine, Fireman Sam, Postman Pat, Rupert, but there were so many I had never heard of.
One of the first he really seemed to like was "In the Night Garden" which is actually made by the same people who Telly Tubbies, although I think In the Night Garden is much better. I wasn't long though before he started liking more Train and car related programs, not surprising from a little boy is it! Rory the Race Car and Thomas and Friends became regular additions on our SkyHD box record list. As soon as my Son saw Chuggington I knew he was going to love it, he still doesn't to this day say the word train instead he says Choo Choo!
Ever since its been a daily bedtime treat for him, he loves it, he sometimes sees it when its on at 5:45 but we normally are eating out tea at that time so we soon learnt to switch Cbeebies of before it comes on as he gets very irritated if we switch it off so we can eat tea!
A few months ago I was looking for ideas for a new project and my Fiancée said that she had looked to see if there were any Chuggington Toys coming out, so I had a look into the Chuggington Domain names that were available and was happy to see www.chugtoys.com was available! I have created and maintain a few websites, some that sell affiliate products where I earn a modest commission others I run just for the love of the subject such as my PS3 related sites. I hope you like this website and if it is useful please consider clicking on my links when you buy as I may get a few pennies which helps me to be a stay at home dad which is the best job in the world!
